my experience…

I studied photography at Sydney’s National Art School. I also studied Set and Costume Design at NIDA which I think helped to hone my eye for styling, settings and theatrics! I have worked for some of Sydney’s best photography studios, including Infinity Photography and Milk and Honey Photography and have been photographing weddings for over 8 years.

The beginning

I began shooting 20 years ago as a student at the National Art School in Sydney, studying fine art. It was there that I first used a pinhole camera, learnt how to develop film and process and print in the darkroom.

My passion for photography began at art school when I bought my first Pentax camera as a newbie 18 year old student. The hours at school learning how to process and print my own film really brought the magic of photography home to me. Working in the darkroom was where my passion for photography began. I still miss film and am often found on holidays around the world with my film camera, wandering off to capture a moment…

my favourites…

My favourite weddings make me cry at speeches, they have a lot of personal touches and home made pieces and I love seeing the bride and groom happy, natural and in love on their wedding day. Their joy just shines through in the photographs and makes my job even more wonderful than it already is.

My life & loves…

I live in Sydney by the beach with my adorably gorgeous little boy Jaco and wonderful husband Brett, who works as a helicopter rescue crewman (yes he has a cool job!). Oh, we also have two goldfish called Florence and Hugo ;)
